Dear Brothers and Sisters at Yan Lam Church,

When a person reaches 50+ years old, they begin to assess their lives, to "pass judgement", to say "I feel good about this" and sometimes "I don't feel proud of this." We all know that it is God's evaluation that matters, but still, I want to say, that when I look back on my life and ministry, some of my best memories come from our time serving at Yan Lam Church. I feel proud to have had a small part in the lives of so many fine men and women. We've been privileged to watch you grow up, get married (or not), have kids (or not) and launch into careers and ministries. Ione and I are honored to count many of you as friends. We admire your commitment to the Lord, your love for the brothers and sisters, your desire to introduce people to the Savior. I know this for sure, when I see Jesus, I will tell Him "Thank you for leading me to Yan Lam Church, and allowing me to a part of their lives. Thank you for making them a part of my family's life." We wish you a very happy 20th birthday celebration. May God bless you and make each of you a significant blessing to other people. May you together continue to bless this community, Hong Kong, China and the ends of the earth.
